What are the benefits of a school environment assessment?

Each school is unique and the benefits following a school environment assessment will vary according to the scope and needs within a school. Examples of the benefits a school environment assessment can bring to a school include:

What happens prior to a school environment assessment?

Prior to a school environment assessment, an initial discussion would take place. During this time we would agree on shared expectations for what the school environment assessment would involve and the level of feedback or reporting required.

What happens during a school environment assessment?

School environment assessments are bespoke and created according to the school and their reasons for requesting a school environment assessment. We would create the assessment in line with the target area, for example Dyslexia. The assessment will often take the form of a learning walk. This will be discussed along with the scope during an initial discussion.

School environment assessments suit all types of school, and all budgets as they are bespoke according to requirements. Commissioning a school environment assessment could help to identify opportunities for targeted learning outside of the classroom, in addition to identifying strengths and areas of need within the classroom.
